Pune: Sumeet SSG has announced a strategic partnership with Pinnacle Industries to design and deliver a comprehensive fleet of advanced ambulances for the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS 108) project, marking a major milestone in strengthening the state’s emergency healthcare infrastructure.
Under this collaboration, Sumeet SSG will work alongside Pinnacle Industries, India’s leading converter of ambulances and speciality vehicles, to develop Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal ambulances. The initiative is aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities and improving pre-hospital care across Maharashtra.
Large-Scale Deployment Under PPP Model
Sumeet SSG BVG Maharashtra EMS, a joint venture between Sumeet Group, BVG India Ltd., and SSG Transporte Sanitario (Spain), will deploy and operate a fleet of 1,756 emergency vehicles under a 10-year Public Private Partnership – Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer (PPP-DBFOT) model.
The fleet includes:
- 255 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances
- 1,274 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances
- 36 Neonatal ambulances
The rollout of these vehicles by Sumeet SSG is planned across all 36 districts of Maharashtra, ensuring statewide coverage.

As part of the partnership, Pinnacle Industries will act as the end-to-end ambulance conversion partner for Sumeet SSG. The company will deliver fully built medical mobility solutions designed for rapid response, clinical efficiency, and patient safety.
Each ambulance under the Sumeet SSG initiative will feature:
- Medical-grade interiors with hygienic, easy-to-sanitize panelling
- Modular storage systems
- Ergonomic seating for EMTs and paramedics
- Integrated oxygen systems and suction units
- Advanced electrical architecture with LED lighting and control panels
- Stretcher mounting systems compatible with Spencer Italia equipment
- Compliance with AIS-125 standards
- Impact on Maharashtra’s Emergency Healthcare
The collaboration led by Sumeet SSG is expected to significantly improve emergency healthcare delivery by ensuring:
